Art and Science

Practicing medicine is both Art and Science. While SCIENCE relies on reproducible experimentation, objective measurements, and unbiased assessment of data--- THE ART -----how we interact with our patients, our compassion and empathy -----comes from being human. I started a BLOG as a way to comment both on the ART and the SCIENCE of what I do so passionately, day in and day out. Although many of my Blogs, since starting Tomaino Orthopaedic Care, have been more philosophical, observational, and spiritual in nature----- and my objective in writing them has been
to grow and inspire, through the introspection that my commentary, and yours, might provoke---- my future Blogs will focus as much on the SCIENCE.
Indeed, weekly I receive inquiries from around the country----from patients who have questions about their Arm condition-- searching for answers and guidance. Although this Blog will never attempt to offer medical advice, I can use the broader inquiries I receive as a platform for providing informative content that may be of value.
In the end, I hope that this Blog might inspire a deeper appreciation of not only what ails us, but of how blessed we are as well.
