Be an "Informed" Consumer
July 14th, 2008
Higher deductibles and health savings accounts are but a couple of examples of how accountability for purchases in the "health care marketplace" is being assigned more and more to you and me--as patients. This increasingly "retail" experience affords more choice, but also mandates careful consideration of the options.
Quality of care may be assumed to be a "commodity" but it still makes sense to inquire about experience and outcomes when choosing who provides your care. Indeed, the "who" is as important as ever so that your needs and expectations are registered and prioritized.
Never underestimate thoughtful consideration of your queries and the importance of trust and confidence in your physician and their care team.
