Small is the New Big...
June 29th, 2008
Welcome to the 1st posting of my
Weekly Insights Blog - a contribution meant to provoke a response from you - to either ask a new question or respond, in turn, to what has been shared previously. Ultimately, it's my hope that a dynamic dialogue ensues, which will educate and inspire. My objective overall is wellness—and given my focus on Upper Extremity wellness, I'll focus mostly on the Shoulder, Hand and Elbow.
Leaving full time University practice after 15 years to found Tomaino Orthopaedic Care for Shoulder, Hand and Elbow LLC gives life to many of the messages in the book published in 2006 by Seth Godin entitled "Small is the New Big". Godin extols the advantages of being small—unencumbered by unnecessary bureaucracy and flexible enough to experiment today and execute, for the better, tomorrow. To that end, our mission includes meeting our patient's needs in a remarkably responsive way and providing unparalleled quality of care. We challenge the status quo and strive to resist mediocrity. This Weekly Insights Blog will, I hope, provide a venue by which we keep improving our offering, through understanding your questions and needs.
