Our rehabilitation program is designed to address wrist issues resulting from repetitive strain, including those associated with excessive masturbation. We begin with a thorough assessment, including a detailed history of the patient’s symptoms, frequency of the activity in question, and a physical examination. Diagnostic imaging may be utilized to rule out more serious underlying conditions and to better understand any alignment issues. The treatment plan focuses on education, pain management, and physical therapy. We provide guidance on moderating and varying activities to reduce strain on the wrist, including specific advice on balancing masturbation with other activities to prevent overuse. Pain management strategies include ice therapy and, if necessary, medication to ease discomfort. Physical therapy encompasses stretching and strengthening exercises for the wrist and forearm, as well as manual therapy to improve alignment and function. To further support recovery and proper wrist alignment, we may recommend using a wrist brace or splint to stabilize the wrist during activities. This comprehensive approach aims to relieve pain, restore function, and educate patients on healthy practices to prevent future issues, ensuring a holistic and effective rehabilitation process.
